Hello! My name is Carnell Bellamy Sr. and I would like to welcome you to the website. When I graduated from high school, I really wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do in life...I held a variety of interests. I studied computer programming and worked as a programmer for an engineering firm. I later got a scholarship to the "Community Wharton Evening School". That led to a full scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School where I received a "bachelor of science in economics" degree. What came next was a series 7 license to sell annuities and mutual funds and a license to sell "life and health" insurance. I've also worked for the U.S.Postal Service since 1969.
In the mid 80's, I became interested in real estate. I took a job at Northwest Counseling Services,INc as a housing counselor and has been at it ever since. Although I received my "real estate " license, I was not interested in selling real estate as much as I was interested in counseling people about real estate concerns. Over the years, I've conducted many workshops for "first time homebuyers". I've also written a book for first time home buyers through Dorrance Publishers. On the other hand, there were people who were faced with losing their homes. Ive counseled homeowners on mortgage default and worked with the lenders on alternatives to foreclosure to keep homeowners in their home. I am also certified by the state of Pa. to take apps for HEMAP. I've done ":reverse mortgages, helped with refinancing, worked with state attorneys on "predatory lending" and also worked with tax delinquency clients to save their homes.
The bottom line is that I enjoy helping people. There are some folks out there who if they find out that you don't know , will see how far they can go. There are plenty of scams going on. I just want to make sure that the future homeowners and the current homeowners are informed so that they don't get taken. So if you are having problems, go to a counseling agency for help. The services are generally "FREE".
Thank you,
Carnell Bellamy Sr.
